Kim Richmond Concert Jazz Orchestra CD “Artistry”

This tribute to Stan Kenton was released by Summit Records on May 14. The Orchestra held four performances to celebrate that album, the first at the RedCat Theater (a pre-release concert) in downtown L.A. to a sold-out crowd, the second at the Los Angeles Jazz Institute festival “Swingin’ on a Riff” at the LAX Marriott on May 26, the third at Vitello’s (the official CD release party) to another sold-out audience on June 1st, and the fourth at Typhoon Restaurant in Santa Monica on July 1st. The recording is now on the national jazz charts and is getting much critical acclaim.
