Board member/President Kim Richmond announces the release of his 10th jazz recording “Inner Spirit.” The CD presents the Kim Richmond/Clay Jenkins Ensemble, a septet. It consists of originals by the co-leaders (plus one Chick Corea composition). Several can be heard/viewed on YouTube.
The members are Kim Richmond, saxophones; Clay Jenkins, trumpet; Joey Sellers, trombone; Will Brahm, guitar; Reggie Thomas, piano; Trey Henry, bass; and Joe La Barbera, drums. The CD has been getting rave reviews by all who have heard it.
The Kim Richmond/Clay Jenkins Ensemble is playing at the Fox Valley Jazz Festival in Appleton, Wisconsin at the festival’s Labor Day weekend. The performance is on Sunday, September 4 at 2 PM.
