The American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate college students who are studying music composition and arranging in an American college, conservatory, or university. You must be a currently paid student member of ASMAC.

Two to six scholarships are granted annually at the discretion of the ASMAC Board of Directors.

The annual deadline to submit an application is October 1st. It must be mailed to: ASMAC, 5903 Noble Avenue Van Nuys, California 91411. Scholarship awardees will be announced each year at the Annual Holiday Brunch.

The Pete Rugolo Scholarship for Composition

The David Blumberg Masterclass Scholarship

The Ray Charles and Jon Charles Scholarship for Music and Vocal Arranging

The Van Alexander Scholarship for Instrumental Arranging

The Don Costa, Gordon Jenkins, Nelson Riddle Memorial Scholarship for Musical Excellence

Complete the application below and submit it with:

1) A copy of your student identification card.
2) Your resume
3) A one-page statement of your career goals and aspirations
4) Two letters of recommendations from faculty members and/or professional composers and arrangers who are familiar with your work.
