Conrad Pope – Orchestrating Workshop – Jan 24, 2004

24 January 2004

On January 24th, 2004 ASMAC held an orchestration workshop featuring Conrad Pope, one of busiest orchestrators in the Hollywood motion picture industry. It was very well attended with approximately 150 composer/arranger/orchestrators in attendance. Conrad was very gracious to share his knowledge from many years in the business. Mr. Pope, also a very accomplished composer, shared his techniques from his original scores.

The attendees were able to see the scores projected on a large screen as well as hear the recordings simultaneously as Conrad spoke on various sections of the orchestra.

ASMAC wishes to thank LA Valley College and Mike Julian for their generosity in letting us use their auditorium.
