Our 2001 Golden Score recipient Michel Legrand has composed over 200 film and television scores, several musicals and has made well over a hundred albums. With three Oscars out of thirteen nominations as well as five Grammys and an Emmy nomination, his longtime collaboration with Alan & Marilyn Bergman has resulted in many memorable songs. “What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?,” “The Windmills of Your Mind,” the Academy Award-winning score from Yentl and the list goes on. Michel has worked with some of the most talented people of all time including Frank Sinatra, Henry Mancini, Maurice Chevalier, Miles Davis, Edith Piaf, Johnny Mathis, Neil Diamond, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Lena Horne and Barbra Streisand. Exceptional recordings of his work include, “After the Rain,” performed by Barbra Streisand & Johnny Mathis, “I Will Wait For You,” performed by Liza Minnelli & Frank Sinatra, and “You Must Believe In Spring,” performed by Cleo Laine & Tony Bennett.
