If you want to know more about jazz improvisation, jazz repertoire, and hanging with active working jazz musicians, then Santa Barbara Jazz Workshop is a good choice. If you have students that have those interests, please steer them to this. This is for adults (including seniors), high school and college student (discount for under 21).
This is a 4-day workshop in lovely Santa Barbara on July 11 to 14. Classes, combo and big band rehearsals are held at the beautiful Marjorie Luke Theatre (stage and back rooms) and we jam, hang and eat dinner at the SOhO Music Club a few blocks away at the end of each day. The final day (Friday) we do our concert performance at the SOhO with combos and big band.
