Grant Geissman is a guitarist and composer with fourteen albums released under his own name, the latest being the jazz trilogy of Say That!Cool Man Cool, andBOP! BANG! BOOM! (Futurism Records).

Geissman also co-wrote the music for all twelve seasons of the hit CBS-TV seriesTwo and a Half Men and all six seasons of Mike & Molly. He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2004 for co-writing the Two and a Half Men theme (“Men, men, men, men, manly men”). His other TV credits include playing the Django Reinhart-style acoustic guitar solo on the theme of the hit sitcom Monk.

He recorded the now-iconic electric guitar solo on Chuck Mangione’s 1978 mega-hit “Feels So Good.” Over the years, the versatile guitarist has recorded with such artists as Burt Bacharach, Inara George, Joanna Newsom, Lorraine Feather, Quincy Jones, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, David Benoit, Van Dyke Parks, and Ringo Starr.

Joining Grant for a portion of the luncheon will be Dennis C. Brown – Grant’s co-writer on the shows Two and a Half Men, and Mike and Molly. Dennis was the composer for the hit TV show Dharma and Greg.

MODERATOR:  Dan Ferguson — Dan is a third generation composer, arranger and instrumentalist. He is featured guitar soloist on several iconic TV themes: Barney Miller, Rockford Files, Charlie’s Angels, The A-Team, Greatest American Hero, and Magnum P.I.  Dan Co-Produced two CDs for The Count Basie Orchestra, one of which, Count Plays Duke, received a GRAMMY award for Best Performance by a Large Jazz Ensemble.

His work in film includes music for The Jerk,  A Star Is Born (Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson), Oh, God!, Telefon, Westworld, Roadie, The Mighty Ducks, Bigand many others.  Dan has composed and orchestrated for films and television including High Noon (Hallmark), Dune, The Last Mafia Marriage, Diagnosis; Murder, While Justice Sleeps, Primal Secrets, Just Dessert, Whispers From A Shallow Grave, Filthy Rich and much more.
